Chappell Contracting was formed in 1984 by Gavin Chappell. Gavin graduated with an HND in mechanical engineering. Gaining experience in agricultural engineering, combined with a passion for trees, lead him to set up Chappell Contracting.
The business has since expanded to encompass services such as landscape work, grounds maintenance, hedging, fencing, garden design, tree surgery and the provision of barn-dried firewood. The team expanded along with the business and incorporates many skill sets.
Gavin founded Chappell contracting back in 1984 as a tree surgery business. Having orginally studied agricultural engineering at university, he spent some time working in various agricultural engineering businesses. Gavin has a passion for trees and works in the local community as a volunteer firefighter.
